• Microsoft SQL Server 2016 / 2017 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025, Standard or Express. Please use the Core licensing model where possible, rather than Client Access Licences (CALs). The number of CALs required depends on various factors and cannot be determined straight away.
• SQL users with sufficient permissions to create databases.
• If the visual energy SQL Server is moved, backwards compatibility cannot be provided. The new server must be running on a version that is at least equivalent. For example, it is not possible to migrate from Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to Microsoft SQL Server 2016.
