Maintenance Service
The Maintenance Service is an optional system service which periodically sends telemetry data from the visual energy system to the KBR ticketing system. There, this telemetry data is analysed automatically and, in the event of critical conditions, the designated contact persons within the customer’s system are notified. This service is disabled by default after installation. There is a charge for this service.
NOTICE

No energy-related or personal data is ever transmitted!
A valid service contract is required.
Please contact your KBR sales partner for further information.
How does the Maintenance Service work?
The Maintenance Service has two configurable intervals:
- The system reporting interval typically runs every 1,440 minutes (= daily) and can send data to selected configuration files.
- The service monitoring report is typically generated every 60 minutes and acts, among other things, as a heartbeat. If this report is not received, a ticket will also be created.
What security risk does the Maintenance Service pose?
The service is very secure for the following reasons:
- External access is not permitted.
- No specific ports are required in the firewall.
- No energy data or other project data are sent.
- Communication between the customer’s system and the service takes place via email and can be viewed at any time.
- Individual logs and reports can be disabled.
