Function

The parameter Function defines how the value is to be processed during a time-range aggregation. The following functions are available: Sum, Maximum, Average, Minimum.

If, for example, the OBIS measured variable consists of 15-minute consumption values, it is advisable to use the Sum function. If the measured values are then aggregated into daily or monthly values in charts and other analyses, they are consequently summed.

In another case, it could be a 1-hour temperature value. Depending on the specific use case, when aggregating to daily or monthly values, the average, minimum or maximum value may be required.
