Medium / Media

Project-specific media can be derived from the system media and recorded and analysed under their own name. In doing so, they inherit all media-specific OBIS measured variables.

This mechanism makes it possible to have several media items of the same OBIS-A type under different names. Please note that each project medium must have its own supply network, independent of other project media.

For example, the project media drinking water and greywater could be derived from the system medium 8 – Cold water.

There must be at least one project medium per project.

Create a project medium

  1. In the project configuration, navigate to the project properties.
  2. Under “Media”, you can use the button to add the required medium from the list of system media.
  3. Give it a meaningful name and save the project medium.

This project medium is now available as an option at the locations.
