The network operator or network operator number forms part of the metering point ID. When creating a metering point, a network operator must therefore be assigned. For internal metering points, the in-house organisation is also set up as the network operator. If data are exchanged with external market participants via MSCONS, the relevant metering point designations must match, and the communication settings at the network operator must also be configured correctly. Each network operator is uniquely assigned to a medium.
