Mobile meter reading

Requirements

  1. Meter reading points have been created and assigned to a meter reading area.
  2. A meter reader is assigned to the meter reading area and equipped with visual energy Mobile.
  1. Navigate to the location and then to the meter reading area.
  2. Request a mobile meter reading using the button. The meter reading status changes to “Requested”.
  3. The meter reader can now start the meter reading using visual energy Mobile. The status then changes to “Active”.
  4. Once the meter reader has completed the meter reading, the status changes to “Check/Edit” or “Completed”, depending on the request type.
  5. For request type “Controlled”, all meter readings must now be checked and confirmed; for request type “Controlled (Status 2)”, only those with validation errors need to be checked and confirmed. Meter readings can be corrected here.
  6. Then select “Apply” for the meter readings and complete the meter reading. The meter readings are now transferred to the system.

Cancel meter reading

A meter reading can also be cancelled. Further processing on the mobile device will be blocked. A cancellation can be initiated in visual energy either by the meter reader or by the inspector or an authorised user. The status of the meter reading area is then set to “Cancelled”.

Meter readings that have already been recorded and any notes will be discarded if the process is cancelled.
