Busmaster

The data source is an automatically read meter (eBus, Modbus, OPC). Depending on the type of device, the relevant OBIS measured variables can be selected. A data request workflow is assigned to each selected measured variable.

Yes

Calculated

Calculated metering points do not have their own data source; instead, they calculate the data for the measured variables using a formula. Unlike “Busmaster” and “File” type metering points, calculated metering points cannot be used in the distribution structure. A formula editor is used to create and validate the formula. The calculation is carried out using the workflow “Calculation using formula”.

Yes

Indicator

The data is calculated using a formula, but uses its own project-specific measured variables. A calculation workflow is assigned.

No

Mobile

The data is recorded manually or using visual energy mobile. The measurement point can be assigned to a meter reading area for manual recording. A meter rollover can be detected using the “Number of digits” and “Number of decimal places” properties. The “Replacement Value Generation” workflow is assigned.

Yes

Vehicle

A special variant of the “Mobile” type for the medium 21 – Vehicles. Metering points of this type can be assigned to individual users or groups (see Roles). When creating a metering point, the typically required OBIS measured variables are also created, and workflows for replacement value generation and calculation are assigned.

Yes

File

Data is imported via the Import function (MSCONS or CSV).

Yes

System

The “Structural Data Calculation” workflow is assigned. For all measured variables for which the “Structural Data Calculation” rule has been activated, the data is calculated in accordance with the distribution structure.
