Charts

Charts allow the existing energy data to be analysed from different perspectives. Unlike PDF reports, charts are interactive. The presentation of the data can therefore be varied as required to highlight a specific analytical perspective. When a chart is saved, it is accessible to all authorised users in the same configuration.

Charts can be organised into folders that you can create yourself.

Heat map chart

Pie chart

  • Any number of channels (OBIS measured variable for a metering point)

Level-time chart

  • Any number of channels (OBIS measured variable for a metering point)
  • Up to 4 different value axes

Regression analysis

Sankey diagram

  • Individual configuration in each case (inflow, outflow, total, etc.)

Status chart

  • Any number of channels (OBIS measured variable for a metering point)
  • Graphical overview of the status values.

 

Time comparison chart

  • Like a level-time chart, but:
  • Maximum 2 channels (OBIS measured variable for a metering point)
  • Two time axes
  • Before-and-after analysis
  • Analysis of consumption behaviour

 

P/Q scatter plot

  • Two channels (one value pair)
  • Analysis of electricity consumption
  • Analysis of power factor correction systems
  • Evaluation section -> Folder -> Charts menu

Create / edit a chart

  1. In the Evaluation section, select a suitable folder as the storage location.
  2. Using the button and the corresponding sub-menus, you can select and create the desired chart type.
  3. Please enter a suitable title.
  4. Add the channels you want.
  5. Customise the chart title and colours as required.

Properties

The following properties are available depending on the chart type:

Name/Designation/Title

A meaningful text entry. The designation is used for identification and search purposes and can be changed at any time.

Title

Text – Headline for use in the diagram.

Change font

Selection – Select the font, colour and size for the title.

Show title

Yes / No – Should the title be displayed in the chart?

Cyclical updating

Selection – Time specification. Can be used for charts that are on permanent display. This results in the data on the chart being updated periodically.

Minimum loading time range

Selection – Time specification. When the chart is opened, it initially loads data for display. If you then navigate to a different time range, any missing data may need to be reloaded before it is displayed. For charts with few channels and low resolution (daily or monthly values), it is advisable to load a larger time range initially so that you can then navigate the chart without significant additional loading.
For charts with many channels or high resolution (1-minute or 15-minute values), loading a shorter time range can reduce the loading time.

Background colour

Selection – Choose a colour for the chart background.

Use theme background colour

Yes / No

Yes – The theme selected by the user (dark / light) determines the background colour. This setting overrides the selected background colour of the chart. Check that the channel colours used provide sufficient contrast in both themes.

No – The defined background colour of the chart is always used, regardless of the selected theme.

Time zone

Measurement and energy data are processed and stored internally in universal UTC time. In evaluations, these are then displayed in the appropriate local time, depending on whether they are associated with a location or a project.

Charts may contain channels with different time zones. A time zone is therefore specified in the chart properties.

Folder

Selection – Once folders have been created, they can be selected here. The current object will then be saved in the specified folder. If no folder is specified, the root element is used.

Favourites

The current object can be selected as a favourite.

The current object is selected as a favourite.

Tags

Selecting and assigning tags enables you to filter and sort lists.

Links

List – Displays the links associated with visual energy objects.

Actions

 

Updates the chart and reloads the time range.

Generates a CSV file containing the data from the current chart view. The CSV file is available for download so that you can save it.

Opens the specific chart properties for editing.

Generates a PDF file containing the data from the current chart view. The PDF file is available for printing.
